Tópico: Upload from other sites

wrote Enviado 10 meses, 3 semanas atrás
Hi,

Is there a way I can upload pictures from other sites by supplying the URL of the picture?

I looked for a way to search this forum to see if this question has been asked before but I couldn't locate a way to do it!

Thanks for your time.

not that i know of but there are several users on zooomr that write scripts which can do some pretty clever things. worth checking into.

these are the only two i can think of off hand but they may have something that does what you need:
ping
bluemonki

Hi, you can use Migratr to migrate from other sites, although I have not used it.

For more info. see this thread.

Thanks for your replies. I checked out all the userscripts here: http://userscripts.org/scripts/search?q=zooomr

The ping userscript seems to be for organization of the photos. The bluemonki script links up the zooomr albums to the facebook albums. The Migratr only supports a handful of sites: 23HQ, Aol Pictures, Faces.com, Flickr, Menalto Gallery, Picasa Web, Phanfare, SmugMug and Zenfolio.

How about general sites? I specifically use Zooomr for sharing scientific teaching diagrams and it would be wonderful if I could upload directly from the source site, rather than having to download and and upload the pictures.

Any other helpful ideas?

Thanks.

I don't think it is zooomr's manner. Users at zooomr mostly upload their own images/photos/pics to share them between users.
I know eveybody can upload any images with his/her resposibility but what you are wanting to do is not strong point for photo sharing sites like zooomr.

I recommend miniblog services or bookmarking sites to clip the others' images, such as tumblr or clipmarks.

@yanz:

Thanks so much for the excellent suggestions! I checked out tumblr - seems to be exactly what I was looking for.

Cheers!
